A Western Canadian energy-services company runs its business on one set of numbers
The company supports compression and process equipment, and each job runs from the sale through the field to the invoice. It replaced its legacy systems with Dynamics 365 in one program, and its leaders now see the business on one set of numbers.

Every job touches the field, the parts room, and the books
The company provides service, commissioning, and parts for compression and process equipment. A single job can start with a sale, send a technician to the equipment, draw parts from inventory, and end in an invoice. Every hour and every part on that job is a cost the invoice has to cover.
Across energy services, field tickets and parts often sit apart from finance, so billing lags and inventory gets estimated. The company was running this work on legacy systems.
Its leaders replaced the legacy systems in one program
The company chose to put four Dynamics 365 applications in place together. Finance and Supply Chain Management run the back office, while Sales and Field Service run the work with customers and in the field.
The company’s own people shaped the design around how the business runs.
The office and the field work from the same records
With Finance and Supply Chain Management in place, the company manages its resources more efficiently, and its finance team sees the financial picture more clearly.
Sales and Field Service went in together, so the sales and service teams manage their work in the same system. Technicians work from the Field Service mobile app, with the work order in hand at the equipment.
Its leaders make decisions from one set of numbers
The company now runs more efficiently and sees how its projects and its finances are doing. Its leaders base decisions on data the whole business shares.
Ludia’s part: senior consultants managed the program and led the solution architecture and the technical development. They worked side by side with the company’s team so each application fit the way the business works.
For your IT team: what the program covered
One program replaced the company’s legacy systems with four Dynamics 365 applications. Finance and Supply Chain Management cover the back office, and Sales and Field Service cover customer and field work. Technicians use the Field Service mobile app, and the design follows the company’s own business processes.
